Senior Research Fellow
Huaidong Du is a senior research fellow working on the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) study with main researches focus on diet, physical activity, adiposity, diabetes, eye diseases and etc. Since 2013, she has been involved in coordinating the currently on-going second resurvey of the CKB, which includes 25,000 participants from 10 study areas in China.
Huaidong obtained her MD degree in 1994 and had been working as an ophthalmologist for 8 years in China. In 2009, she finished her MSc and PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the Netherlands and joined the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) afterwards.
