A delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences visit CKB

On 7th Sept, the CKB group in Oxford hosted scientists from the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health at the Chinese Academy of Sciences to discuss collaboration

Led by Prof Xu Lin, the group visited Oxford to discuss on-going collaborative work assessing the potential relevance of conventional and novel biomarkers, including erythrocyte fatty acids and HbA1c and urinary heavy metals, for metabolic disorders. The visit provided opportunity to exchange ideas and make plans for new research proposals, capacity building, data integration and data access, as well as to explore in detail the opportunities for future collaboration. During their visit, Professors Lin and Zeng presented their latest work on the use of multi-omics in the study of metabolic diseases to members of the Nuffield Department of Population Health.
